Brenda Dygraf glider walker. No impact , manual (no electricity), it's quiet, and cost around $125.00. I got mine off one of the home shopping networks... QVC or HSN. It also has tension controls to increase your workout, and a timer, calorie counter, steps taken recorder, and mileage recorder. As a fitness consultant I recommend it.

It's called a sidewalk - free - has it's own air supply ( so you don't have to breath the stuffy indoor stuff ) and a 3-D scrolling interactive visual effect screen ( very life like with incredible resolution )

What is affordable to you?? YOu can get a decent one for @ $300....We actually just bought one over the weekend for @ $800....really nice one, but not top of the line. OUrs is a Horizon, and we really like it. Go to sportsauthority.com and check them out there to see if there are any in your price range. You can also go to walmart.com and check out theirs....they have some really affordable ones, but it depends on what features you want.

I would personally go with a elliptical machine (life fitness) less stress on the knees better overall cardio work.
